woohoo finally found a good gnome feedreader/aggregator. Liferea
its a sweet little c program that handles all the various feed types and its fast, and better yet unlike that piece of crap straw it WORKS!!
the only problem with it is that it doesnt remember which articles you’ve seen, no local cache. but oh well, at least it can load the feeds which is a step up on straw
